Thunder

It's been raining pretty much all day, and now I heard thunder. Wohoo. I like it. I've been having an angry week, which is something I haven't experienced in quite a while, but in some odd way I'm welcoming it:) So thunder goes well with it all. Anger is an interesting one, it can destroy but it can build, too. I like it for this latter, even with the initial destruction, It has the power to move things which have been stuck. Even if they are unrelated to the outbreak of anger (like today, Uisce chewed my phone charger and favourite sandals to bits, both unrepairable. Now there's nothing about that closely related to my personal development is there?;-)
Anyways, I'll leave the anger at that for now.
Other things that have happened the last few weeks included a bunch of dinner guests at various times, it is lovely to have great veggies around the garden again to feed people with:)
Mr. Cello has been a regular in my days too, I'll stick in a little video with a bit of a sample of what mischief we're up to together, now the video quality is shockingly bad, sorry.... ok, i just realized its too big of a size for blogger what i have, so will have to wait till next time....

What else.... the other day climbed a mountain, one of the Paps, near Killarney, stunning, (unfortunately left camera in car so can't show you), and a rather educational day.
Had another feltmaking course here a few days ago, all happy, except the one person who freaked out at my directions and got lost...Ah well.
Looking like there's a bit of work around the corner, which is fabulous, as my plans are flying faster than my purse at the moment;-)
Rightyo, that's it for now, I'm starving so better raid the vegetable gardens in the 3 minutes while the rain holds back;-)

Feltmaking, birthday and the likes

I love June. However the last few years it seems to be a bit of an emotionally manic month - maybe subconsciously I'm shocked by the fast passing of years marked by my birthday in June every year ;-)
Anyhow, I still love it. Longest days, exploding growth in the garden, beautiful scents in nature, restless energy whoch can be as good as I make it (or as destructive ;-)
Here's a few photos, including a drenched dog, a bunch of little and big people stuffed with cakes at a small birthday gathering, and one group photo of the happy felters who started their wooly adventure here at my cave the other day.

Oh them rainy days will never stop Uisce from a good ol' runaround in the garden

Early June Gardens

June has arrived swiftly out of the blue, and has brought a bit of warmth, hope it will be a regular visitor for the next while. Nice to get a bit sunburnt again:)
There's lots to do in the garden, but the reward started coming too, great to taste fresh veg from the grounds again. Here's a few pictures of the garden and the animals.

Roadtrip

Myself and Uisce just came back from a week's galavanting around the country. We've visited friends in Mayo, Leitrim and Limerick. It was lovely to get away and get out of my head and life and just observe other people for a while. Like a mental holiday:) I mean when the mind is off on holidays:) Anyhow, after about 1000kms (well done Mr. G, you're the best little car ever), I can say Uisce is a super dog tp travel with, she really got into the groove of it all, the ever changing scenery and company of dogs, kids and big people. Car, forests, lakes, rivers, houses of all sorts, etc etc, I claim she even learnt to go to pee when I tell her before getting into the car and stuff (handy...:)
Anyways, funnily enough the few pictures I took along the way all have Uisce on them, no sign of a car or anything else we've seen on the way.... Ah well... Here's to obsessions;-)

It is time to have a pic of the 2 of us, don't have the facial similarity just yet;-)

The long dog

This has been a busy week, lots of work, rehearsals, visitors, etc... Heading up the country for a roadtrip with Uisce tomorrow, can't wait! (Wouldn't mind if she shared the driving but probably won't happen...;-)
Here's a photograph I took the other day, that's how long Uisce is when she really streches out:)

Painting, jam and the mouse found!

Had a couple of busy indoors days - the weather has been so Irish, that the backyard is full of cats and dogs ;-) Well, anyhow, way too much rain has fallen, so I took to the shelter of my little tin box and performed some chores long planned - painted the bedroom! Or I should say turned the dark hole of doom into a warm beautiful room:) Pictures below to prove what madness comes to life when you add me, paintbrushes and some outcast old paints I found in the deep pockets of my place. I'm very happy with it anyways, it is great when something long planned gets done:)
There's a few other pics just to say something about Uisce as well, who's been in her element the last week or so, and finally found the mouse which has been living within her reach all this time. She also has been subjected to hours of loud good rain music, there's a pic below of the rare moment when she didn't try to catch the percussionist's hands in action or wasn't trying to play the guitar:)
Anyhow, I better go off to the garen before the next lot of rain arrives!:)

May camping, squeeky pig and flower essences

Here's a few new photos of our little camping trip to Castlefreke woods near Roscarbery with Naomi and Vicky and Uisce, and a couple other little things. Enjoy!

Castlefreke woods full of amazingly scented bluebells!

Uisce found a squeeky pig, hilariously got acquainted with the world of squeeks, and shortly after chewed the legs off.... even then, it remained her favourite toy for the trip

Love moving around furniture, even in small spaces:) The new living room in the tin box
